WHY JOIN DSP?

Matthew Chee, Finance 2011

Delta Sigma Pi offers you a truly unique experience during your time at Santa Clara.  Unlike other clubs on campus, we are a Fraternity, and brothers are members for life.  What we offer are not lectures in a classroom, but experiences.  We operate as a business, giving brothers the opportunity to manage finances, marketing, communication, and philanthropy.  As brothers, you will have the opportunity to lead (as well as collaborate with) a team, plan large scale events, and practice professionalism on a daily basis.  You will be a business mogul before you know it.

We are exclusive to majors in the Leavey School of Business in addition to economics majors through the School of Arts and Sciences.  This allows our brothers to become very close knit, taking classes, studying, and working together, knowing that each member holds themselves to a higher standard of excellence.

Because we are an international business fraternity, once a brother, you will immediately share a common bond with over 220,000 people, from more than 200 chapters coast to coast.  Especially in these economic times, grades alone sometimes aren't enough.  Delta Sigma Pi offers you a chance for leadership, networking, and professional skills development which will undoubtedly help you in interviews and in setting you apart from the rest.

Our close proximity to Silicon Valley gives us access to unprecedented connections with local corporations and businesses.  Corporate sponsors and professional speakers, events, and tours will give you insight into the state of each business industry and give you further opportunities and connections.

I can personally say that who I am today is due to my experience in Gamma Xi Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi and I wish that every person could have that same fulfilling experience.

Alyson Okamura, Marketing 2010

This year's Delta Sigma Pi recruitment slogan is, "Individually unique, together complete." Even though our group is very diverse and we represent every major and minor in the Business school, we share a common goal: to gain more experience with business.

Becoming a brother was one of the best things I have done at Santa Clara University. It has allowed me to grow so much as a leader and as a person. I have served three different types of leadership positions while being in the fraternity, and I have taken away so much. Currently, I am serving as Senior Vice-President so I can share with more students how truly great this organization is. It has shaped me to become well-rounded. We have professional, fundraising, community service, and social events. We also function as a business, so we get a taste of what life is like in the real world. I am able to take the lessons I learned from Delta Sigma Pi into the workplace when I graduate next year. I am ready for whatever challenge life brings me.

I strongly encourage you to attend our recruitment events to find out more and to see if Delta Sigma Pi is right for you.
